We are inspired by Jesus’ teaching to love God and our neighbor, nearby and across the globe, as we would love ourselves.
Our Mission
Luke 10 is a unique organization gathering people from multiple Christian traditions and other Faiths united in mission. Our members build friendships with our Iranian neighbors through faith-based conversations. Luke 10 leaders encourage cross-cultural trust and theological engagement between Iranians and Americans through remote educational meetings and classes, multi-faith exchanges, cultural tours and events, and national and multinational humanitarian service projects.
Luke 10 was organized during the spring of 2020 by a group of Christian leaders to mobilize support from Christian communities for the victims of COVID-19 in Muslim-majority countries around the World.
Our Core Values
Fellowship
We invest in enduring, respectful relationships with one another. Accepting each other, acknowledging differences, and discovering the common values we share. Our engagements are mutually enriching.
Faith
Our foundation is firmly built upon the core teachings of our Christian faith. This faith empowers our desire to love, care, and deliver real change.
Love for neighbor
We are committed to love in action, regardless of a person’s nationality, religion, culture, or status. We strive to end discrimination and religious prejudice.
Human rights and dignity
As Christians, we believe all human beings are created by God. We believe that every person is of great value and endowed with divine purpose. The human dignity of every human being is not diminished by their religion, nationality, or culture and all are to be treated with respect, compassion, and embraced by the love of God.
Mutual respect and empathy
We foster a deep respect for the history, language, art, and culture of Iran and its people. We accomplish this by opening our minds to understand and then take action
Empowering Iran’s Future: Schools, Health, and Hope in 2024
Luke10 is calling on supporters to help Moms Against Poverty continue their work in Iran. In 2023 alone, Moms Against Poverty constructed 20 new schools in communities with no access to education, distributed school supplies to over 1,000 impoverished students, and conducted empowerment workshops for youth and female heads of households from marginalized communities, amongst many other humanitarian projects.
The organization’s healthcare initiatives included building a healthcare center in Markazi Province and providing critical medical equipment to hospitals across the country. Moms Against Poverty expanded its hunger relief initiatives, supplying food to orphanages across the country, providing breakfast to nearly 4,000 nomadic students in South Khorasan province, and distributing food vouchers to thousands of families hit by natural disasters or facing food insecurity.
Orphan care initiatives included establishing a new orphanage for girls aged 7 to 18+ in Tehran province.
Your donations will help the organization sustain and expand these life-saving and life-changing programs, ensuring that impoverished and marginalized children, women, and families in Iran continue to receive the support they so desperately need to thrive and be empowered.
